SunMoney — Privacy Policy (English)

SunMoney ("we", "us", "the App") helps users track personal and shared expenses, sync data between devices, and manage investments. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Data we collect

• Account & contact information: If you create an account or pair with partners you may provide an email address and display name.
• Financial & transaction data: Expense entries, transaction amounts, categories, timestamps, notes, and shared transaction metadata used to track and split costs.
• Local device data: App data stored locally in the device’s SQLite database for offline-first use.
• Sync data: Data uploaded to our backend (e.g., Firebase Realtime Database) to sync across devices and shared accounts.
• Payment & subscription data: Subscription and purchase status are handled by RevenueCat (or your payment provider). We do not collect raw payment card details — payments are processed by third-party payment processors.
• Device & diagnostics: Device model, OS version, app version, and crash logs (Firebase Crashlytics) for improving the app.
• Advertising identifiers: The app shows ads via Google AdMob (Premium accounts excluded), which may collect device/advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads. Users in the EEA and UK are shown a consent form (per Google's UMP framework) before any ad personalization; you can review this choice anytime under Settings → "Ad privacy choices".
• Other data you choose to share: e.g., contacts, if you use any contact-sharing feature (only if such feature is present — see in-app prompts).

How we use your data

• Provide app features: store and sync your expense and investment data across your devices and with partners you explicitly pair with.
• Payments & subscriptions: manage and validate active subscriptions and entitlements via RevenueCat.
• Advertising: display and measure ads via Google AdMob (not applicable to Premium accounts).
• Improve the app: aggregate and anonymized crash reports to improve stability and performance.
• Security & fraud prevention: detect abuse and secure user accounts.
• Legal & compliance: respond to valid legal requests and enforce our terms.

Third parties and data sharing

We share data with the following third parties to operate the app:

• Firebase Realtime Database, Firebase Authentication, Firebase Crashlytics (Google)
• RevenueCat (manages Premium entitlements; actual payment is processed via Google Play Billing)
• Google AdMob (ad serving)

We share only the minimum data required with these providers to operate the app. We do not sell your personal data.

Retention

We retain your data as long as your account exists or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may delete your account and data via the app settings; deletion removes data from active storage and, subject to third-party provider policies and reasonable backup retention periods, from backups.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect user data in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure — please choose strong device security and keep your app updated.

Your choices and rights

• Access & correction: You can view and edit your data in the app.
• Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data (wallets, transactions, budgets, debts, investments, etc.) directly in the app under Settings → "Delete account". Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you can't access the app, you can request deletion by emailing us below.
• Ad privacy choices: EEA/UK users can review or change their ad personalization choice under Settings → "Ad privacy choices".
• GDPR/CCPA: If you are in the EU or California, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or other local minimum). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
